SUCH A SWITCH

Rivers of want, seas boiling with desire, and yet Louie and a bowl of Ramen noodles may just suffice.

I can't understand how anyone can go about their day without at least spending 10 to 15 minutes Google Imaging "war atrocities".

AND LISTEN

It's not possible to find anything that wasn't already there.

THE HEAP

The levels collapse. Barbarism is barbarism.

AS THE YEARS GO BY

I find myself applauding both the person who's at least trying as well as anyone who's given up completely. To arrive at a conviction, a stance, in this hopeless world is becoming ever more elusive. Existence is always brutal no matter what form you've been placed into. And those poor souls flickering in the middle, behaving accordingly, playing the role, I now have great sympathy for them as well. I have little respect or interest in their feeble doings but I appreciate their suffering even though they are seldom aware of their suffering. I can even look into the face of some beast like a Republican senator or an executive at Exxon or Monsanto, and I mostly see a victim, a casualty of circumstance. There's a cost to everything, but the greatest cost of all is to be ignorant of the cost.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Somehow, it had become another year, and so he shaved his head with a hatchet in a broken mirror hung on a wall in a room in a world where nothing more fitting had ever been done.
